Florida Dental Laws and Rules exam: the guide for dentists

The written jurisprudence exam every dentist licensing in Florida has to pass — what is on it, what it costs, where you register, and what the RDHPass dentist module simulates.

Who sits this exam

Dentists applying for a Florida licence: graduates of a US or Canadian dental school, and dentists trained abroad taking the ADEX route. It is the same body of law the hygiene exam is written from, weighted toward a dentist's scope — ownership, delegation and supervision, anaesthesia permits, and the dentist-of-record's record-keeping duties.

Format

Computer-based, at a testing centre, in English — the same delivery as the hygiene paper, and a little longer. Every figure below was read on the examiner's own page or in the Board's rule, and the row says which.

What is on it

Rule 64B5-2.013 defines the written examination for dental licensure as the laws and rules of Florida regulating the practice of dentistry and dental hygiene. That is the same Chapter 466 / Chapter 456 / Division 64B5 corpus the hygiene paper is drawn from — which is why a hygienist and a dentist studying here read the same statute text, and answer different questions about it.

The blueprint RDHPass samples

The dentist module's domains and weights, read live from the database rather than retyped here. Every mock you sit is sampled against exactly these percentages.

What RDHPass simulates

The dentist module is open. It runs on the same engine, the same corpus and the same review workflow as the hygiene exam, over a bank of dentist-scoped items written against this blueprint and read by a reviewer before it was approved.

  • The full-length paper, with the field-test items included and left out of the score, on a server-authoritative clock.
  • The dentist blueprint above, sampled over the statute and rule sections in the library — the very same rows the hygiene module reads.
  • Practice by domain, spaced review and the progress report, in English, Spanish and Portuguese, exactly as the hygiene module has them.
  • It is a separate module with its own price. Buying the hygiene exam does not include it, and we say so plainly rather than quietly.
  • The course layer — the study notes, their citations and their checks — is written for the hygiene paper first. The dentist module ships the bank, the mocks, the library and the review deck today, and its own study notes follow.
